Abstract:
This article comprehensively describes the Phase 2A Omnibus Remedial Opinion of Judge Myron Thompson in Braggs v. Dunn, the long-running case challenging conditions and mental health care in the Alabama state prison system. Judge Thomson’s opinion addresses areas: Part I review the history of the case; Part II discusses Alabama’s failure to comply with court orders; Part III review remedial provisions and finding necessary under PLRA; and Part IV is the remedial order.Keywords: Braggs v.
