Abstract: 

Driving under the influence of prescription medications (DWPM) is becoming an increasingly serious traffic safety problem as the American population ages. An American Automobile Association (AAA) study on America’s aging drivers reports that 69% of those 55 and older take, at minimum, one prescription daily that could interfere with their driving and has a warning label to that effect.
