Abstract:
A 17-year veteran of the Suffolk County Police Department, Officer Glen Ciano was killed by Jose Borbon. Borbon was intoxicated and allegedly talking on a cellphone at the time of the February 22, 2009, crash. He had charges pending on a previous DWI arrest. Borbon was sentenced in January 2011 to one-and-one-third to four years in prison. This article gives the statements of Ciano’s partner and his family after his death.Keywords:
