Abstract: 

Simply suspending a person’s license fails to put enough pressure on the offender to make them stop driving, or, even more importantly, to stop driving irresponsibly. Fortunately, many states have begun implementing a variety of solutions to solve this problem of epidemic proportions. This article discusses the methods adopted by many states to deter drivers from driving drunk in the future.
