Impaired Driving Update

Abstract: 

Based on observational surveys, 2002-2006, ticket analysis 2002-2005, and crash analysis 2002-2005, The author examines distracted driving, including cell phone usage. The latter is increasingly a significant factor in distracted driving crashes for both males and females. The author also examines the characteristics of drivers apprehended for using handheld cell phones.
