Abstract:
Preliminary 2002 alcohol crash statistics released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration indicate a slight increase in drunk driving fatalities. An important trend is revealed. Since 2000, alcohol fatalities have risen and the long-term reduction has ended despite 0.08% BAC legislation and state zero tolerance underage drinking laws. Ethnic differences seem to be significant in alcohol consumption by 12th graders. Keywords:
