Abstract: 

Mileposts is our regular review of new statistical data, research findings, and noteworthy events and milestones in the fight against drunk, drugged, and distracted driving. This issue examines legislation considering adopting a roadside test that would allow police to determine whether drivers involved in a traffic incident had been using their phones; An off-duty police officer in an apparent road rage-related incident; the rise in American traffic fatalities ; crash fatalities involving both drowsiness and alcohol; a lawsuit blaming Snapchat for 107 mph crash; and a rash of car fires in Demark and Sweden.
