Abstract:

A suit is brought by a former student at Eastern Michigan University kicked out of the school’s graduate counseling program after she refused, on religious grounds, to counsel a gay student. A graduate student sues the University of Oregon, alleging gender-based institutional bias in the university’s Ph.D. program and gender discrimination by her faculty dissertation committee chair.
