Abstract: 

Parents of Deceased Student Show “Genuine Need” for Police Investigative Materials. In 2008, Brett Griffin, a freshman at the University of Delaware, accepted a bid to become a member of Sigma Alpha Mu national fraternity.The Big Brother Night at the local chapter consists of rituals, most of which involve consumption of alcohol. Griffin consumed an excessive amount of alcohol, and around 3 a.m. on the morning of November 8, he was found unresponsive, pale, and with slightly blue lips. Emergency medical assistance was summoned, and Griffin was taken to a hospital where he died of acute alcohol consumption. In September of 2009, the principal of Nordonia (Ohio) High School notified Daniel and Nicole Cisek that their daughter, L.C., was being issued a three-day, out-of-school suspension due to a verbal confrontation she had with another student. Katz submitted a polished draft of a paper entitled “Russian Intentions in Signing the Non- Aggression Pact with Germany,” his professor voiced concerns about the integrity of the document and, in particular, expressed skepticism about Katz’s claim that he did not use any secondary sources in his preparation of the paper.
