Abstract: 

A student whose roommate fabricated a story that she had attacked her with a pair of scissors was nevertheless unsuccessful in suing UNLV or the student affairs staff for false arrest, defamation, breach of contract, and civil rights violations. A transfer student with an undisclosed mental health history experiences difficulty her first year resulting in an involuntary medical withdrawl from the instution she later contests claiming it was, in effect, expulsion.
