Abstract:

In Ohio, a federal court approves a consent decree governing emotional support animals for students at Kent State with disabilities, but with significant reservations. We outline the full provisions of the agreement, as it provides useful guidelines for other schools facing similar issues. In a seccond case review, a court upholds a univesity ruling that required a student to take involuntary medical withdrawal following her suicide attempt.
