Abstract: 

In U.S. v. Sandra Rhodes, No. 03- 20008, 2003 U.S. DIst. LEXIS 18839 (C.D. Ill. October 21, 2003), a federal district court was presented with an argument for a substantial reduction in the sentence called for by U.S. Sentencing Guidelines. Sandra Rhodes, a middle-aged white female with a college education, had pleaded guilty to two Class C felonies - the possession of between 50 and 150 grams of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and money laundering.
