Abstract:
I have experienced the impact of conversion from paper to an EHR system in three ways: as an actual provider of correctional medical services, an expert witness in correctional litigation, and a surveyor of prisons and jails for the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC). I hope that sharing this experience will be of some value for those contemplating the conversion. Keywords: Litigation, Workflow, data entry, Readability, Searchability, Methodology
