Abstract: 

Our regular survey of important research findings reviews three new important papers. “The Prison Economy of Needles and Syringes: What Opportunities Exist for Blood Borne Virus Risk Reduction When Prices Are So High?” by Carla Treloar, Luke McCredie, and Andrew R. Lloyd, published in 11 (9) PLOS ONE (2016); “Is It Morally Permissible for Hospital Nurses to Access Prisoner-Patients’ Criminal Histories?” by Paul Neiman, published in Nursing Ethics; and ““Prison Ain’t Free Like Everyone Thinks”: Financial Stressors Faced by Incarcerated Women” by Holly M. Harner, Brian R. Wyant, and Fernanda Da Silva, published in the journal Qualitative Health Research (2017).
